About the Artist

Aminah Ahmad is a Pakistani artist born and raised in Northern Virginia. Her artistic journey began in her early school years, and sparked a lifelong commitment to expressing her culture and passions through diverse creative forms.

Aminah delved into various materials and techniques such as painting, mixed media, and linoleum printmaking. This period provided a strong foundation for her creative evolution, allowing her to hone her skills and discover a deep appreciation for her rich Pakistani heritage.

Aminah expanded her artistic expertise through introductory courses that strengthened her grasp of essential concepts such as shape, depth, contrast, value and more. In 2019, she ventured into oil painting, a medium that broadened her creative scope and culminated in her debut exhibition at a local art show.

In 2020, Aminah kickstarted a small business, RAD-ISH, specializing in custom hand-painted sneakers and apparel, seamlessly fusing traditional Pakistani motifs with modern fashion trends. RAD-ISH blends edgy, contemporary painting with the timeless elegance of traditional art. A mix of bold expression and refined technique. Her unique creations garnered recognition from ‘DCWaleDesi’, who highlighted her as a featured artist and shared her inspiring journey.

Currently thriving in the Consulting realm, Aminah seamlessly integrates her passion for art into her life as a freelance artist.
